Professionals from the beverage world include spirits author Noah Rothbaum; wine experts Ted Diamantis, Fernando Beteta and Ken Fredrickson; and representatives from Antinori Wines and the team behind award-winning cocktail bar Broken Shaker. A new partnership with art programming organization FUZE will showcase a collection of artwork from seven Caribbean nations as well as panel discussions led by artists, guided tours, printmaking demonstrations and a film series.

The festival is held at Baha Mar, a 1,000-acre development housing Grand Hyatt, SLS and Rosewood resorts, which combined include more than 2,300 rooms, more than 45 restaurants and lounges, more than 30 luxury retail outlets, the largest casino in the Caribbean, several golf courses, an ESPA Spa and the brand-new Baha Bay luxury water park.

Signature chef-hosted dinners held at five of Baha Mar’s most stunning venues on Saturday evening will tempt guests with the best Bahamian and international flavors. A two-day expo on Oct. 28 and 29 features live entertainment, onstage chef demos and Bahamian culture.

The Festival Weekend Pass provides access to all flagship events and experiences, as well as early access to more exclusive and intimate chef experiences. Attendees can also purchase a daily pass for that day’s events. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the website.

Now’s the Time to See Giza, the Nile and Beyond

All archaeology-obsessed eyes turned hopefully toward Egypt earlier this year when the highly anticipated Grand Egyptian Museum outside Cairo finally began welcoming visitors after construction delays, funding roadblocks and political upheaval in the region (among other factors) conspired to keep things delayed for many long years.
