Are you in Guadalajara, Mexico City or Guanajuato?

Well, all you need to do is grab a car, a bus or even an Uber to get to San Miguel de Allende, a colorful town in the heart of Mexico.

Arrive on Friday morning to Rosewood San Miguel, right in the town center, and take a refreshing bath, put on comfortable shoes and go out for a walk.

Go to the main square, also known as The Allende’s Garden, grab a coffee or some esquites, listen to the local music and walk around while you enjoy the Baroque architecture. If you’re lucky and there’s a wedding soon, you could join one of the famous alleyway parties. Before you go to bed, don’t forget dinner at Maria y Su Bici to taste homemade Oaxacan food.

A toy museum or a spa? What a difficult choice for a Saturday morning. Let’s relax further at La Gruta Spa, where they have an ecological philosophy with natural products everywhere and the best treatments in the area.

At night, we’ll visit El Tres for dinner and some drinks. If we want to continue the party, there’s always Mint Club, which opens at 2 a.m. — be prepared for a long night.

Before you leave, don’t forget to visit the Angela Peralta Theatre, founded in 1873. It’s a great place to finish your weekend.
