Analyzing more than $49.5 billion in travel bookings, Virtuoso, the leading global network specializing in luxury and experiential travel, discovered the top 10 domestic and international destinations for summer.
Top 10 U.S. Destinations for Summer:

- Massachusetts
- Colorado
- Washington
- Montana
- South Carolina
- New York
- Alaska
While southeastern states like Florida and South Carolina continue to draw visitors in the warmer months, California takes the top spot for its diverse options throughout the state, from bustling cities to vast beaches to beautiful wineries. Alaska makes a surprise appearance, with Washington’s surge in bookings most likely in support of the Alaska summer season.
