Trump Hotel Collection plans to grow its portfolio of luxury properties with its first location in South America. Slated to welcome guests in 2016, Trump Hotel Rio de Janeiro will be located in Brazil’s posh Jardim Oceanico sub-district of the famous Barra da Tujuca borough and will become the only luxury hotel in the neighborhood. The 13-story property will feature 171 guestrooms and suites boasting ocean or mountain views, each including grey marble floors and private outdoor balconies. The hotel’s 11 suites, ranging from 1,200 to 1,800 square feet, will offer guests plunge pools on private patios. Additional amenities include approximately 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a 4,000-square-foot pool deck with private cabanas and an infinity pool, a night club, a spa and a fitness center. “With the Barra da Tijuca hosting most of the venues of the 2016 Summer Olympics as well as Jardim Oceanico’s perfect mix of modernity and nature, the area is poised to emerge as the heart of Rio de Janeiro,” said Donald Trump Jr., executive vice president of development and acquisitions, The Trump Organization. Trump Hotel Collection currently operates properties in New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, Waikiki, Panama, Toronto and Miami.
