In celebration of the spring equinox, the rare moment every year where light and darkness are balanced perfectly, The Lake House on Canandaigua will host a 24-hour live sound bath experience in its lakefront Event Barn. This event is believed to be the longest continuously programmed live sound bath experience in the United States.

Starting on March 20 at 12 p.m., the Spring Equinox Sound & Stillness Immersion will feature rotating professional sound and meditation practitioners guiding guests through a soundscape designed to calm the nervous system, promote deep rest and create a level state of meditative awareness.

Guests can participate in four-, eight-, 12- or 24-hour sessions, including late-night and sunrise hours. Throughout the experience, participants rest, journal, create vision boards, paint and reflect. Each participant will be given a reflection booklet, art materials and their own creative space.

For a more intimate experience, specialty wellness practitioners conduct individual healing experiences and personalized services such as acupuncture, bodywork and energy therapy, cupping, red light therapy, and IV hydration and injections.

“The equinox represents balance, a shift from stillness into light,” said Suzanne Frazer, wellness expert and yoga instructor, The Lake House on Canandaigua. “We wanted to create a space where guests can slow down, reset their nervous systems and experience that transition intentionally, whether for a few hours or through the full arc of the night.”
