Pacing Ourselves
I wrote last week about our first afternoon of wine tasting in Walla Walla, Washington, our first Spring Release weekend in two years. It was great to be back, but after stops at two wineries where we sampled several wines at each and then had a bottle of wine with dinner, I woke up Friday morning determined to slow down and sip a little less that day. After all, there was more tasting to be done on Saturday, too!

Awash in Wine
Over the first weekend in November (the traditional Fall Release Weekend in Walla Walla, Washington), my husband and two friends and I visited there for a few days of cautious but nevertheless very enjoyable wine tasting. We all remain well, so the precautions taken by us and all of the places we called on clearly were effective, even as cases rise all around the country. As I mentioned in a previous blog, those precautions actually led to less crowded and more enjoyable tasting experiences, leaving us less rushed and having more time and space to enjoy the wines.
Old and New
Our recent trip to the wine country around Walla Walla, Washington, saw us pack a lot into just three days. We scheduled visits to old favorites, enjoyed some special tastings and events at wineries where we are club members, and also made a point of trying out some new places. We were blessed with perfect fall weather: sunny and crisp, with the fields and vineyards showing their fall colors.
