Father’s Day at Brickworld
Father’s Day, a time to celebrate the strength, courage and determination of fathers everywhere. What better place to do that than the annual Brickworld Chicago Convention? It certainly took all of these traits and more as my wife and I took our 6-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son to the huge gathering of LEGO enthusiasts, but it was well worth it.

Although I am spending most of my weekend watching the first games of the college softball season in the Rosemont Dome, I took a squeezed-in a visit to the Chicago Auto Show yesterday. Although I am not a huge car enthusiast, I always enjoy the spectacle of CAS.

IMS Motorcycle Show
As you might remember, I’m a fan of bikes, and that includes motorcycles! This weekend was spent ogling vintage and modern motorcycles at the IMS Outdoors Motorcycle Show. The event took place at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, California. Those in attendance who have their motorcycle license can test drive any and all motorcycles to their heart’s content. I do not have mine, but I did get the chance to test drive the Liv electric mountain bike — man, that was fun!
