Ventura County‘s premier surf contest and concert is back by popular demand. Following a decade-long hiatus, the southern California county is bringing back the Surf Rodeo. Widely known as a surfing paradise, Ventura County’s unique south-facing coast and breaks produce legendary waves.
Surf Rodeo takes the spirit of rodeo and brings it to the beach. Instead of wrangling steer, competitors face off against epic swells. Hit the beach July 13 and 14 to take in the action. Competitions for the title Surf Rodeo Grand Champion begin at 6 a.m. Other festivities include two beer gardens, more than 70 vendors selling local crafts and live music.
