KLM Royal Dutch Airlines celebrates the 80th anniversary of its first flight from Amsterdam (AMS) to New York City (LGA) on May 21, 1946, making history as the first European airline offering scheduled service between Europe and the United States.
To commemorate this milestone, KLM partners with The New York Historical on a special pop-up exhibit and limited-edition Delft Blue miniature house modeled after the museum’s building. Open today through May 27, the exhibit showcases items from KLM’s history including menus and in-flight magazines, as well as video footage and a Delft house display.
