It’s back and sweeter than ever: Pop it Like it’s Hot! A Taza Hot Chocolate Pop-Up Shop (for a Cause) at Revere Hotel Boston Common is in full seasonal swing. Every Friday from 3-6 p.m. until Dec. 27, the hotel’s lobby is the setting for Taza specialty hot chocolate drinks prepared by area celebrity chefs.
There’s no official charge. Decide what to donate and proceeds benefit Boston non-profit The Home for Little Wanderers. To accompany your favorite hot chocolate, Carlo’s Bakery (made famous on TLC’s hit show Cake Boss) is providing pastries and baked treats.
In addition, Revere Hotel Executive Chef Bader Ali’s weekly offerings feature guest chefs’ exotic spins on cocoa in a cup. Participating chefs include Brian Poe of Poe’s Kitchen at the Rattlesnake, Estelle’s and Tip Tap Room; Samuel Monsour of JM Curley; and Jason Santos of Blue Inc., Abby Lane and Back Bay Harry’s.
Satisfy your sweet tooth while sipping drinks such as Chef Monsour’s candy cane cream pie (Dec. 6), Chef Santos’ Nutella with handmade banana whipped cream (Dec. 13), Chef Poe’s black lava salted caramel with maple candied pecans & cinnamon whipped cream (Dec. 20) and Chef Ali’s molten chocolate (Dec. 27).
