This week my husband and I celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary. Normally we would plan a trip or at least a night out at a nice restaurant to celebrate. This year, however, we opted for take-out and reminiscing about our wedding and honeymoon.
Two days after our wedding, we hopped on a plane for a few days in New Orleans, one of our favorite cities. We celebrated the Fourth of July in the Crescent City, experiencing incredible food and drink, visiting museums, taking in live music and watching fireworks over the Mississippi River. We then made our way to Los Angeles for a one-night stay ahead of departure to our final destination, French Polynesia.
We landed in Tahiti early in the morning and made our way to the InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa. During our stay, we indulged in a luxurious spa treatment, spent time relaxing at the resort and visited the capital city of French Polynesia, Papeete. We ended our honeymoon at the Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora. We took advantage of all the stunning property had to offer, including excellent dining, tennis lessons, spa treatments, fitness center visits and beach and pool time. We ventured off the resort twice for dinner and a hike of the island interior another day.
From start to finish we had a fantastic honeymoon, exploring old and new favorite destinations. I’m looking forward to #ComeBacktoTravel for our next celebratory trip soon.

Mar 27, 2024Hyatt Regency Chicago Unveils Renovations This Spring
Half a century ago, several architecturally significant buildings not only changed the face of Chicago but also reintroduced the city as a world-class travel destination. Roughly a year after the Sears Tower (now Willis Tower) emerged as the then world’s tallest building, Hyatt Regency Chicago opened its doors in August 1974. A second tower was constructed in 1980, making it one of the most ambitious hotels the city had seen, down to its above-ground skyway and underground concourse.
