Exploring Oahu

By - April 18, 2019

Whenever I go somewhere new, I like to head out on a run as an excuse to explore my surroundings. On my current trip to the stunning coastline of Oahu, a “run” is interrupted almost every two minutes for photo opportunities.

forestry Oahu Tree I took myself off property for a few miles, checking out the local flora and fauna, and even taking a peek at the Lotte Championship on the stunning Ko Olina Golf Club.

I found myself at a dead end, as we are in a pretty residential corner of the island, and had to turn around, but my mini self-guided tour through the area was a welcome break and a busy day for my camera.

FlowersMy home base for this trip happens to be on the west, dry side of the island at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. The resort offers a lazy river, calm lagoon for swimming, several pools, water slides, blue grottos and watersport opportunities, including paddle boarding and snorkeling. Needless to say, there are plenty of ways to stay active at the resort.
