The Cubs are in a pennant race and the Bears are preparing for their season, but last weekend it was all about the Bulls in Chicago. Bulls Fest attracted thousands for two days of three-on-three tournaments, youth clinics, Bulls legends and stars, art, and more.
My first stop was meeting iconic broadcaster Chuck Swirsky. Currently a Bulls broadcaster, Swirsky is truly a sports talk radio pioneer, having hosted a show starting in 1979. My best friend and I loved his show. In a booth hosted by Autograph1 and Mitch Dubinsky, Swirsky promoted his bobbleheads to benefit Chicago Bulls Charities supporting children and families in need. I also brought his book Always a Pleasure to be signed.

I also met former players Will Perdue and Eddy Curry. Perdue won three NBA titles with the Bulls. Native Chicagoan Curry was drafted by the Bulls and played 12 years in the NBA. Bennie the Bull had some fun with me.

With 50 courts, there were hundreds of games all weekend. Players of all ages showed their skills or at least had fun. 
The six NBA trophies and Michael Jordan statue were major selfie spots. Beautiful Bulls art also drew a lot of attention.
The Bulls open their season October 22 hosting the Detroit Pistons. By then, hopefully the Cubs will be on the way to the World Series and the Bears will be undefeated. The Bulls can add to the fun.
