With how cold it’s been in Pennsylvania recently, it’s been hard to even work ourselves up to go outside and do things on the weekend. That being said, last weekend my parents and I weren’t sure what we wanted to do, but we knew we wanted to get out of the house. We didn’t want to just go to a store and wander around aimlessly, so we chose to head to our favorite brewery in Bucks County, Warwick Farm Brewing.
We like to go there, sip on some brews, play games, talk and sometimes people-watch. So we gathered our games, made a stop at Philly Pretzel Factory to bring a little snack and headed to the brewery.
To no surprise, it was packed when we got there; it always is. There were no tables, so we decided to just get a beer and stand at the end of the bar area to wait for an open table. I got the Citra-Sensation (my go-to), my mom got the Cranberry Shandy, and my dad got the Warwick Light. Sometimes you really have to pay attention because it’s a free-for-all, so we constantly had our heads on a swivel. After about 10 minutes I noticed a group getting up across the room, so I made a beeline for the table so we could stake our claim.
My parents joined me, and once we were settled, we pulled out our first game, True or False? We took turns asking each other the true or false questions on the cards; and if the person you asked got the question correct, they got the card, but if they got it wrong, you got to keep the card. We weren’t sure how long it was going to take, so we split the deck in two and started with the first half; my mom won. We decided we wanted to stay longer, so we grabbed another beer and broke out the second half — my mom won again!
Once we were done playing, we still stuck around for a little bit to people-watch and enjoy the vibes before heading back home.
If you are looking for a brewery in Bucks County, I highly recommend Warwick. It consistently has a wide selection of beers and even ciders and seltzers for non-beer drinkers. The beer isn’t even the best part; it’s the views. The brewery sits on top of a hill and has some of the best views of different towns in Bucks County.
The brewery is fun all year-round, but the best time to go is when it’s warmer out because the outdoor space is one-of-a-kind. The brewery itself has a wraparound porch with different-sized tables, perfect for soaking up the views. Additionally, the brewery has a sprawling lawn with picnic tables and open space, perfect for kids to run around.
