I added another city I visited in Florida to the list this past week as a colleague and I visited clients in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. I had been to the latter during college (for spring break, big surprise), but this was my first time in Miami. 
Our trip started with a possible hiccup, but we managed to get our delayed flight rescheduled with a different itinerary (thanks to the kind folks at the US Airways counter at PHL). We arrived in South Beach around 10 p.m. Tuesday night. I always forget the specific type of hot Florida gets in August; I will have to visit during the winter months next time. 
I was staying at the Blue Moon Hotel, an Autograph Collection property and a charming hotel with a very interesting history. My room was cozy but well appointed, and the staff at the hotel provided professional and very friendly service. Keep an eye out in a future issue of Global Traveler for my full review!
