Learn about ancient Egypt like never before (or perhaps experience your own real-life version of The Mummy) with Travelmarvel. The river cruise line returns to Egypt with the debut of its newest river ship, Travelmarvel Sirius, now sailing the Nile.

The new vessel, named after the brightest star in the night sky, carries just 124 guests across 62 cabins; all guests have exclusive access to some of Egypt’s most storied archaeological sites guided by fully qualified Egyptologists. Shore visits led by Egyptologists take guests to sites like Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Kings and Queens, Abu Simbel, Philae Temple, and the new Grand Egyptian Museum.

Back on board, the ship boasts multiple dining venues, local Egyptian entertainment and a spacious sundeck with a pool.

“We’re incredibly proud to not only be back in Egypt, but to mark it with a ship purpose-built to meet what our customers are seeking today: immersive experiences, thoughtful design and exceptional value,” said David Cox, CEO, The APT Travel Group. “Travelmarvel Sirius‘ first sailing reflects our continued focus on innovation, delivering a premium river cruise experience on the Nile River at a price point that resonates with American travelers.”

You can book a trip on Travelmarvel Sirius for 2028 sailings.

Review: Prestige Oceanfront Resort

Vancouver Island gets progressively wilder as you leave Victoria behind and follow the coastline west. By the time you reach Sooke, about 45 minutes from the provincial capital, city blocks have surrendered to forests, rocky shoreline, sheltered coves and long views across the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Prestige Oceanfront Resort rises directly above Sooke Harbour, where boats move across the basin, and the Olympic Mountains form the horizon beyond the strait.

Review: Sushi by Scratch at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley

Husband-and-wife team Phillip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kallas-Lee made their mark by reinventing the term “hidden gem” through their surprising and intentional collection of destination restaurants. While they launched the original Scratch Kitchen in 2013, an expired lease prompted them to relocate to an unassuming strip mall in suburban Encino in 2015 and rename it Scratch Bar & Kitchen. Even at a time when the San Fernando Valley was not known for innovative 5-star dining, the Lees’ concepts gathered such a strong buzz that discerning diners cheerfully followed them “over the hill.”
