Marriott recently opened its first Tribute Portfolio property in Frankfurt. Gekko House is the brand’s second hotel in Germany. It offers nearly 130 guestrooms in the city’s Gallus district, known for repurposed industrial architecture and a lively arts and nightlife scene. Guestrooms channel the industrial feel, with exposed concrete walls contrasted against wood flooring and hand-blown glass lighting.
Each guestroom features floor-to-ceiling windows and views of Frankfurt. In-room amenities include Nespresso coffee machines and music boxes.
The hotel’s signature restaurant, Chicago Williams, serves a German interpretation of barbecue and southern dishes. A lobby market sells additional artisanal snacks, drinks and souvenirs. The hotel plans to open a rooftop lounge in the summer.
