Has anyone noticed NYC is back in action? I stayed in the city last week for the third time over the last 1.5 months. Each time I stayed, I booked a different hotel in a different location. Regardless of the neighborhood, the city was buzzing.

My most recent stay was at The WestHouse Hotel on 55th and Seventh. Not only was the hotel sold out, but the lobby was constantly packed. I, a native New Yorker, was more than thrilled.

I remember going to the city during the peak of COVID and tearing up afterward. The majority of my favorite stores and restaurants were either closed or had gone out of business. That is certainly not the case anymore.

The restaurants had limited reservations, there were people waiting in line to get into shows, and the stores on Fifth Avenue were filled with tourists. I met three different families while I was there: one from Amsterdam, the other from London and the other from Spain, all in town to enjoy the city.

I took a walk in Central Park: People were walking their dogs, the beat boxers were back and so was the man that plays the saxophone under the bridge (my personal favorite).

I felt like I had visited for the first time. The energy was high, the cars were honking, and the people were smiling, maskless. What an amazing start to spring 2022!
