Last night I enjoyed a night at the theater with Alex Young, GT vice president and associate publisher. I love Broadway and musicals, so when the opportunity for tickets to see “Curtains” came my way, I could not refuse. The musical whodunit stars David Hyde Pierce from Frasier as the lieutenant investigating murders behind the scenes of “Robbin Hood”, a fictional musical doing its tryouts in Boston. It was a lighthearted and fun comedy. I also had the chance to finally have dinner at a Mexican restaurant in NYC I have been dying to try – Rosa Mexicano. We started off the meal with the guacamole, prepared tableside. It was absolutely delicious and apparently very popular as nearly every table in the restaurant had this appetizer. After our equally delicious entrees, we finished the meal off with a Mexican sundae – a yummy ending! I arrived at Penn Station in time to catch the 11:09 train back to Hamilton, NJ. I half excepted the train to be empty, but it was packed, standing room only. And it was also quite the interesting train ride – complete with a drunken fist fight, a group of drunk guys loudly talking about their latest “conquests” and a couple of drugged out people fighting with the conductor that the train was going in the wrong direction! Certainly enough excitement to keep me alert well past midnight. All in all, my night in New York was entertaining! And luckily, I made it home just before the heavy snowfall that hit our area today.
