Living right outside Philadelphia definitely has some perks. It’s easy to go into the city for the day or even for a night out on the town — it’s even better when you have friends who live in the city so you can stay at their house instead of paying or worrying about an Uber home. With that being said, I decided to make a bucket list of different activities and places I want to go to in Philly that I haven’t been to yet.
Barstool Sansom Street
As a big fan of Barstool Sports, I have been wanting to go to its new bar in Philadelphia since it opened. The bar looks so fun but it is always crowded, so you have to try to get there earlier in the night so you don’t have to wait in a long line.
SPIN Philadelphia
At SPIN Philadelphia you can enjoy the feel of a bar, but instead of the typical pool tables, there are ping pong tables. Although I am not a very good ping pong player, I still think it would be a fun activity to do with friends. The atmosphere looks amazing, and it’s something different than just going to the same old bar.
Libertee Grounds
Libertee Grounds is similar to SPIN, but it is mini golf instead of ping pong. This indoor venue offers unique mini golf holes, each equipped with a cup holder to hold your beer while you take your shot. When you aren’t on the course, check out the board games, giant Jenga, darts and more. Don’t forget to grab a locally brewed beer before starting the games.
Liberty Point
Located on the Delaware River Waterfront, Liberty Point opened last spring and has since been a popular destination for locals. The attraction features a big outdoor space that offers live music, a fun atmosphere and delicious food and drinks. Liberty Point is closed during the winter months and is mainly a spring, summer or fall attraction due to its waterfront location and outdoor area.

Even though there are a bunch of other places I would like to visit in Philadelphia, these are the main ones I would like to check off my 2023 Philadelphia bucket list. Here’s to a year of fun!

May 21, 2025Hotel Nice Beau Rivage Review
In the city Henri Matisse once called home — and where Musée Matisse holds his largest collection — Hotel Beau Rivage has a special connection with the artist, who first visited the hotel in 1916 and painted famous sea views from his room 89 in 1917. Today, framed Matisse prints — many brightly colored cut-out collages from the artist’s JAZZ collection — decorate its walls. Hotel guests also benefit from a partnership with the museum.
