My husband and I recently took advantage of the nice weather and had some beers at Double Nickel Brewing Company in Pennsauken, New Jersey. The brewery opened in 2015 and has since expanded its outdoor seating options, post-COVID.
While we’ve enjoyed Double Nickel beers from local liquor stores and restaurants, this was our first visit back to the brewery in a couple years. Prior to COVID there was a small outdoor seating area, located just off the taproom. Now, the outdoor seating expands into some space previously reserved for parking. It offers plenty of seating options including picnic benches and Adirondack chairs. When we arrived, there was a group clustered around several tables, celebrating what looked like a birthday.
We went inside to order our beers, then brought them to a picnic table just outside the taproom. My husband got an IPA, and I ordered a Saison. We were happy with our selections and enjoyed soaking in the sun while sipping on our brews. The large seating area outside is perfect for groups. We both commented we’d like to return soon with friends.
