United Airlines just announced a new rule to limit noise in plane cabins and ensure passengers have an optimal experience. The airline updated its rules and policies to require all passengers wear headphones when listening to a device.
This means any passengers listening to music, scrolling on social media or watching a video that emits sound must wear headphones. Passengers who forget headphones will be provided with free, in-flight headphones for the duration of the flight upon request.
United Airlines stated it reserves the right to remove anyone who doesn’t comply with these new rules. The airline can even ban passengers from flying on United Airlines in the future.
The rule was made in a bid to improve in-flight etiquette.
