While the results of Global Traveler’s 2025 Wines on the Wing Airline Wine Competition were first released in our August 2025 issue, we also want to share a shout-out to those winners here. A number of airlines submitted samples of their in-flight wine and sparkling selections. Professional wine experts presided as judges over the annual competition. From the results of the blind tasting, here’s a listing of the best wines served at 30,000 feet this year: Top International First Class Wines on the Wing award winner is Swiss International Air Lines. The carrier also won Top Red Wine International First Class and Top Red Wine International Premium Economy. Qatar Airways earned accolades for Top Sparkling Wine International First Class and Top Red Wine International Business Class. Rounding out the first-class category, STARLUX Airlines wins Top White Wine International First Class. Air Tahiti Nui had a strong showing this year as Top International Business Class Wines on the Wing, Top White Wine International Business Class, Top Red Wine International Premium Economy and Top White Wine International Premium Economy. Condor Airlines ranked No. 1 for Top Sparkling Wine International Business Class. Aeromexico, Top North America Premium Class Wines on the Wing, also tied with American Airlines for Top Red Wine North America Premium Class. AA also scooped up the Top Sparkling Wine North America Premium Class title. Rounding out our WOW winners are Delta Air Lines, Top White Wine North America Premium Class, and Ethiopian Airlines, Top Sparkling Wine International Premium Economy. Best Alliance Wines on the Wing once again went to oneworld. Cheers!

JFK Millennium Partners, the company building and operating Port Authority of New York & New Jersey’s John F. Kennedy International Airport’s new Terminal 6, and Air India recently announced the airline chose T6 for its operations beginning in 2028, aligning Air India with other Star Alliance member carriers in the new terminal.
