Virgin Hotels plans on opening two new properties in Scotland in spring 2022. The Virgin Hotel Edinburgh will be the first to open, offering 222 chambers (rooms) and multiple dining and drinking outlets, including the brand’s flagship space, Commons Club.

The property will be a stunning mix of old and new, reflecting Edinburgh’s eclectic and energetic style, while remaining true to its historic heritage. Edinburgh has much to offer as a top travel destination in the United Kingdom and internationally, and this hotel will allow guests to further enjoy the city’s many treasures. The Virgin Hotel Edinburgh will be located in the landmark India Buildings, originally built in 1864 in Edinburgh’s Old Town near The Royal Mile.

An hour drive west of Edinburgh, another Virgin Hotel will open in late spring 2022 in a prime city center position overlooking River Clyde in the heart of Glasgow’s shopping area. The Virgin Hotel Glasgow will feature 242 chambers and grand chamber suites, meeting and event space, as well as multiple dining and drinking outlets, including the brand’s signature culinary experience, Commons Club. Commons Club embodies a restaurant, bar and modern social club.
