With a focus on sustainability and green practices at every possible turn, the new vegan menu on SAS adds to the airline’s award-winning New Nordic service. In addition to locally sourced, fresh produce and ingredients filling the airline’s menu, guests can enjoy vegan options during a two-week trial, served in the New Nordic by SAS Cube.
Travelers flying during the limited event can opt for vegan options such as thyme-roasted Hällestad mushrooms served with a lentil, beet and wheat salad tossed with Öland black beans and tarragon seasoning. Another vegan option is the sliced golden beetroot and hummus consisting of yellow Vretärt pea from Bjälösa, along with parsley vinaigrette and roasted buckwheat.
The New Nordic by SAS produce is kept as clean and free of additives as possible and showcases the incredibly diverse and fresh ingredients from around the region. During the two-week trial, SAS Plus passengers can enjoy the new vegan menu on more than 4,000 European and Scandinavian flights, extending 80 minutes or more.
