United Airlines adds new, upgraded services within the United States to Europe and the Middle East.

Beginning May 24, the carrier launches a seasonal route between San Francisco (SFO) and Munich (MUC), served by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The outbound flight departs San Francisco at 2:50 p.m., and arrives in Munich at 10:25 a.m. The return flight departs Munich at 12:10 p.m., and arrives in San Francisco at 2:55 p.m.

“Starting this summer we’re offering more flights, to more destinations at more convenient times than in recent memory,” said Scott Kirby, president, United Airlines. “And with bigger and more modern aircraft for many of our flights, we’ll be getting you to the moments that matter most — relaxed and ready to go.”

Launching May 5, United will upgrade its daily Newark (EWR)–Tel Aviv (TLV) service to a 777-300 aircraft featuring United’s new Polaris seat. This is the second route, along with the SFO– Hong Kong (HKG) service, to fly the new 777-300ER. Departing Newark at 11:35 p.m., the outbound lands in Tel Aviv at 4:20 p.m. The return flight departs Tel Aviv at 11:10 p.m., arriving in Newark at 4:34 a.m.

United also plans to expand its domestic network, adding service to 13 cities including four new destinations, Champaign/Urbana, Ill. (CMI); Columbia, Mo. (COU); Rochester, Minn. (RST); and Santa Rosa, Calif. (STS).

The airline introduces a daily summer service in six markets. Flights to Salt Lake City (SLC), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Tucson (TUS) and New Orleans (MSY), which were not previously offered in the summer, now move to year-round service. Additional frequencies within 15 existing markets commence this summer, with United adding a total of 47 daily round-trips to its domestic schedule.
