Ride-sharing giant Uber said last month it’s adding a new option that includes a car-rental service and a train ticket purchasing platform.

Uber added Uber Rent in San Francisco in April. It’s part of a new agreement with peer-to-peer car-sharing service Getaround, which adds privately owned cars to a rental pool.

Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said the reasoning behind the expansion was due to the company’s desire to diversify transit options and “solve the issue of car ownership.”

“We’re going beyond cars,” Khosrowshahi told Reuters. “We are about mobility —making mobility available to everyone, everywhere. We want to be part of the solution.”

Uber also added a partnership with Masabi, giving customers the chance to book train, bus and ferry tickets through the app.

Uber Bike by JUMP also expands, adding Washington, D.C., service after a successful rollout in San Francisco earlier this year.

“That’s going to include bikes, and that’s going to include buses and subways, etc., and we want to be a part of the solution,” Khosrowshahi said. “As an asset class, cars are very inefficient. We have to work together to make sure that living in a city… doesn’t require you to own a car.”
