Ride-hailing app Uber has a new transit feature that shows public transportation options and pricing alongside Uber prices. It’s rolling the feature out first in Denver, with plans to expand it in other cities.

Uber says that while the transit options are often more efficient and cheaper, it hopes the increased functionality of the app will draw more users.

“People already use different ways to choose how to get from A to B,” Fred Jones, head of new mobility for the UK and Ireland, Uber, told Business Traveller at the Business Travel Show in London this week. “We’re helping people make that choice from one place inside our app.”

As for the Denver rollout, the app works with the city’s Regional Transportation District to give real-time transport options, directions and estimated journey time. London and Paris will likely see the feature next.
