Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio continues to grow its presence in Singapore with the recent opening of Varel Singapore, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. The artfully designed boutique hotel offers 128 accommodations blending traditional references with contemporary interpretation.

The hotel draws inspiration from nostalgic times in the Selegie neighborhood, where the new hotel lies. Guestrooms feature bathtubs set against softly concave walls, bespoke in-room amenities, gentle lighting and more. Most accommodations also come with private balconies. Traditional elements like metal games, louvred windows and handcrafted details are reimagined throughout the entire property.

Varel Singapore offers four distinct dining and drinking concepts. Hathaway Autograph is an all-day dining venue serving Southeast Asian flavors with a modern reinterpretation of classics across both indoor and alfresco seating; Vernacular Coffee, the artisanal café’s flagship outpost roasting beans in house; Saga Bar, a cozy cocktail lounge with creative drinks; and a rooftop pool bar moving seamlessly from morning coffee rituals to late-night conversations.
A rooftop infinity pool is framed by lush greenery and skyline views. Guests can also enjoy immersive local experiences, from welcome treats by Denzy Gelato to in-room amenities by Maison21G to curated makan walks.
