Where Chongwe River flows into the Zambezi, Time + Tide’s flagship private house Chongwe House is set to reveal a bold renovation just in time for Zambia’s peak safari season. The house will be open for bookings from May 1 to Nov. 15. With a balance between elemental and elegant, the new look sports sculptural and organic forms, earthy tones, natural textures, and an indoor-outdoor flow. Rooms feature a new drop-down tented front that creates a separation between bedroom and bush.
Chongwe House was inspired by its surrounding diverse environment, including the ancient groves of trees, stunning mountainscape to the north and Zambezi River where wildlife gathers.
The double-story, four-bedroom house is the perfect safari house for multigenerational families or groups, and is now lighter, brighter and more immersed into the wild. The new outdoor space has a firepit, boma, large swimming pool, and an outdoor kitchen complete with a pizza oven and open-flame barbeque area. The area sets the scene for relaxing fireside nights under the stunning, bright stars.
All guests have access to a dedicated team including a private guide and chef to help ensure an intimate, uninterrupted experience on their own terms. Spend your days on private game drives, boating and canoeing safaris, walking safaris, and tiger fishing.
