Hyatt’s The Unbound Collection opens its first hotel in Thailand with the debut of THE BARAI HUA HIN, a design-forward wellness retreat along the coastline. The 98-room beachfront hotel builds on the destination’s history as a seaside escape for Siamese nobility, as well as THE BARAI’s own 20-year legacy as a spa.
The design of the property draws on the elemental forces of water, fire, earth and air. Guestrooms and suites frame the lush tropical setting. Suites include open-living spaces, expansive private balconies, deep-soaking tubs and rainforest showers. There’s also a pair of two-bedroom penthouses. Higher-category suites include in-suite rituals and daily massage, butler service, and more.
At the heart of the hotel is THE BARAI Spa, where pools, courtyards, stone passageways and quiet spaces invite guests to disconnect from the world. The hotel also boasts a two-story Wellness Hub, which includes a 24-hour fitness studio, yoga studio, holistic zone and wellness shop. The spa offers signature wellness pathways like women’s health, sleep recovery, back care, longevity, emotional wellbeing and heart health.
Two distinctive dining destinations grace the hotel, both led by Chef Benn Rowe. White Cottage serves breakfast before transitioning into a refined venue focused on fresh seafood, plant-forward dishes and Thai-inspired flavors. McFarland House lies in a restored beachfront pavilion serving Modern European cuisine, grilled meats, afternoon tea and one of Hua Hin’s most celebrated Sunday brunches.

Its name familiarity may have grown after the 1942 film of the same name, but Casablanca has been a business and economic hub in Morocco, the Maghreb region and Arab world for centuries. The largest city in Morocco, Casablanca’s ideal location on the Atlantic Ocean has made it one of the largest artificial ports in Africa. In recent years many global financial companies have set up within the city, intertwined with a diverse mix of places of worship, the Old Medina and grand squares.
