Marriott International announced the opening of its first The Ritz-Carlton property in Astana, Kazakhstan.

The property, located in a development near the Bayterek Tower monument, includes 157 rooms, including 32 suites and 27 residences, three restaurants, a spa and a club lounge on the 14^th floor, which offers private check-in, a dedicated concierge and complimentary food and drink.

Guestrooms begin at 430 square feet, accommodating up to four people with the option for a rollaway bed and a connecting room upon request. All rooms include a walk-in closet, coffee and tea making facilities, a work desk, a marble bathroom with heated floors, a rain shower, a separate tub, Asprey toiletries and terry robes. Suites range in size 807–2,906 square feet and include complimentary club lounge access.

The spa provides guests with a 24-hour gym, an indoor swimming pool, dry and steam saunas and a Jacuzzi. Meetings can be held in one of two boardrooms or three meeting rooms with video conferencing facilities and a 10,763-square-foot ballroom.
