Washington, D.C.’s, The Mayflower Hotel, Autograph Collection is celebrating its 100^th anniversary with historical exhibits, sophisticated cocktails and a once-in-a-lifetime bookable hotel offer. Known as the Grande Dame of Washington, the hotel has been the backdrop for countless historic events.

Following the Centennial Proclamation with Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser and Lawrence Horwitz, executive vice president, Historic Hotels of America, displays around the hotel highlight its rich history, notable guests, significant events, and hotel mementos and artifacts.

A new collection of centennial cocktails includes Mayflower’s Bathtub Gin, with gin, violet, Luxardo and St. Germaine; Vieux Carre, featuring barrel-picked Whistle Pig, fat-washed barrel cognac, sweet vermouth and creole-style bitters; and the Old-Fashioned, a signature cocktail at The Mayflower for decades, with a 10-year Whistle Pig blend exclusively created for the hotel.

As part of the celebrations, a new offer allows guests to recreate the hotel’s extravagant opening gala. Travelers can create a gala for an occasion of their choice with the offer including all food and beverage, décor, staff, and an on-site photographer and social media curator.
