Marriott’s The Luxury Collection continues its expansion in Canada with the opening of Muir, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Halifax. This new landmark on the Atlantic lies in the historic Queen’s Marque district, and features 109 stylish guestrooms and suites.

Accommodations reflect the region’s character through original Nova Scotia art, expansive ocean views and bespoke furnishings.

On the first floor, guests will find Drift, a restaurant serving modern interpretations of Atlantic Canadian cuisine. This dining venue boasts views of both the harbor and Tidal Beacon art installation. Also in the hotel is BKS, a hidden speakeasy reserved exclusively for guests. This unique space offers masterfully crafted cocktails and savory small plates, as well as views of the city.

Beyond these food and beverage outlets, Muir, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Halifax also features a full wellness center, private yacht and motorboat program, and curated experiences. These include the brand’s signature Destination Discovery experiences, which include a private air and sea expedition to Cape Breton Highlands and guided art conversations in True Colours, the hotel’s private art gallery.

The wellness space includes workout facilities, a vitality spa pool and studio fitness classes. The hotel’s location also means direct water access for kayaking and waterfront cycling.

Guests of the hotel can also embark on the brand’s signature Epicurean Moments, which include a daily toast timed with Halifax’s historic Noon Gun tradition and a hands-on mixology class held in BKS.
