Travelers will have a new luxury accommodation option in Miami Beach, Florida, later this year. The James Nautilus Miami Beach is slated to open on Collins Avenue in late 2026.
“The James Nautilus represents both a new chapter and a thoughtful tribute to one of Miami Beach’s most iconic addresses,” said Carlos Garcia, general manager, The James Nautilus Miami Beach. “As Collins Avenue enters a renaissance, the property will stand out as a gathering place for both visitors and locals seeking a more intimate and elevated Miami Beach experience.”
The 250-room property will offer a contemporary design while maintaining Miami Beach’s charm, paying homage to the original Nautilus Hotel from the early 1950s. The property will feature a signature restaurant with Mediterranean fare and outdoor seating, an exclusive omakase dining outlet, and a late-night lounge with a theatrical atmosphere.
“When guests step into the doors of The James Nautilus Miami Beach, we want them to feel as though they are stepping into a world curated by James himself,” said Elizabeth Harlow, chief brand officer, Sonesta International Hotels. “This is more than the unveiling of a hotel or brand, we’re creating an atmosphere where every guest feels instantly welcomed, inspired, and part of something special.”

Oct 7, 2026Review: Prestige Oceanfront Resort
Vancouver Island gets progressively wilder as you leave Victoria behind and follow the coastline west. By the time you reach Sooke, about 45 minutes from the provincial capital, city blocks have surrendered to forests, rocky shoreline, sheltered coves and long views across the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Prestige Oceanfront Resort rises directly above Sooke Harbour, where boats move across the basin, and the Olympic Mountains form the horizon beyond the strait.

Sep 30, 2026Review: Sushi by Scratch at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley
Husband-and-wife team Phillip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kallas-Lee made their mark by reinventing the term “hidden gem” through their surprising and intentional collection of destination restaurants. While they launched the original Scratch Kitchen in 2013, an expired lease prompted them to relocate to an unassuming strip mall in suburban Encino in 2015 and rename it Scratch Bar & Kitchen. Even at a time when the San Fernando Valley was not known for innovative 5-star dining, the Lees’ concepts gathered such a strong buzz that discerning diners cheerfully followed them “over the hill.”
