Let an expert guide you through the spiritual landscape of Mexico during an outing with Sacred Tours of Mexico. Tours are led by author Anne Key, Ph.D, adjunct faculty in Women’s Studies, English and Religious Studies in New Mexico and California, and Maria Veronica Iglesias, M.A., an authority in Mesoamerican Studies, from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Both women are recognized experts in Mexican culture and the country’s spiritual practices.

Coming June 16–22, Mexico City: See the Sights & Feed Your Soul takes participants to Mexico City’s historic center to experience its history, architecture and art. Also included is a climb up the pyramids of Teotihuacan, a visit to the floating gardens of Xochimilco, a tour of Templo Mayor and an opportunity to take part in a traditional temazcal sweat bath led by a local curandero folk healer.

The pyramids of Chichen Itza and Ek Balam are the focus of Sacred Tour of the Mayan Lands, Dec. 14–19, which will also include tours of the archaeological sites at Coba and Tulum, a chance to swim in subterranean cenotes and an invitation to participate in a sacred Balche ritual.

Two temazcal sweat baths are part of the Winter Solstice Retreat at Isla Mujeres, Dec. 19–23. Each tour is limited to 25 participants and includes lodging (double occupancy), in-country transportation, entrance fees and guided tours. Trip lengths vary four–seven nights.
