Known for its commitment to contemporary art and culture, Fondazione Prada has three locations in Milan and Venice, as well as a new program extending from this summer through the end of November. Until Sept. 26, Role Play is on exhibit at Osservatorio at the Milan location.

A collaborative project involving photography, video and performance works, this exhibit tackles gendered speech, stereotypes and related topics through the perspectives of 11 international artists exploring the concepts and definition of individuality and identity through role playing and the creation of alternate selves. Among the featured artists are Meriem Bennani, Juno Calypso, Cao Fei, Beatrice Marchi, Darius Mikšys, Tomoko Sawada, Bogosi Sekhukhuni and Amalia Ulman.

An exhibition resulting from a project delving into neuroscience, Human Brains: It Begins with an Idea, will be on view across three floors of Ca’ Corner della Regina building at the Venice location until Nov. 27. Curated by Udo Kittelmann in collaboration with Taryn Simon, this exhibition delves into the intersecting worlds of scientific research and discovery as it explores consciousness and what is both known and unknown about the most mysterious of all human organs.

On view at Milan Cinema, Multiple Canvases is a film program conceptualized by artists Elmgreen & Dragset in conjunction with the scientific board of the Human Brains exhibit. Four films selected by artists Simon Fujiwara, Peter Fischli, Goshka Macuga and Betye Saar screen every Friday and Saturday, Sept. 2–Oct. 1 at Fondazione Prada’s Cinema in Milan — a distinctive building designed by Rem Koolhaas.

Phnom Penh as we imagined it stretches beneath us: a picturesque, low-rise mix of Southeast Asian and French Colonial styles. When the inhabitants of those buildings look back at us here in the Fairfield by Marriott hotel in Chip Mong Tower, they see the future.

Amansara Review

It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
