Sofitel recently introduced LeVestiaire, a global wardrobe created as a statement of style and self-expression in collaboration with French designer Cordelia de Castellane. The mix-and-match collection blends couture sensibility with everyday sophistication, empowering the brand’s 25,000 employees, from Front Office to Housekeeping, to dress with individuality and ease. LeVestiaire will begin rolling out in the 120 hotels worldwide from the end of 2026.
“We are entering a moment when Sofitel has fully regained its pride, at a time when so many of our hotels are being beautifully renovated – such as Sofitel New York, Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile, and many more – and when new Sofitel properties are opening around the world as true flagships of the brand,” said Maud Bailly, CEO, Sofitel, MGallery and Emblems. “It was essential to me that our teams – the very essence of luxury – could also benefit from this new era of beauty. It felt only natural that they should shine more than ever. I am delighted by this collaboration with Cordelia de Castellane, who has perfectly captured the spirit of a refined, timeless wardrobe, celebrating French elegance and luxury.”
Comprising more than 45 pieces and a curated selection of refined accessories, LeVestiaire was designed with versatility at its core to enable each Sofitel hotel, resort and residence, from Dubai to Hanoi to Bali and beyond, to curate a wardrobe fitting the local culture while maintaining Sofitel’s signature French elegance. With silhouettes designed to adapt, LeVestiaire offers one wardrobe with thousands of possibilities. Sofitel employees can curate their own “vestiaire,” freely mixing and matching.
Iconic French designer Cordelia de Castellane channels timeless Parisian style in LeVestiaire. de Castellane’s lifestyle and curiosity for other cultures inspire her work and this marks her first global uniform collection. She immersed herself in workshops and fittings with Sofitel’s employees. She sought out comfort, movement and personal expression to resonate across diverse silhouettes, cultures and roles through timeless cuts; tactile fabric; and a palette of navy blue, coconut milk, beige and denim blue.
Additionally, the graphic Sofitel logo was reinterpreted through a series of exclusive monogram prints into scarves, shirts, dresses and ties.
de Castellane said, “The idea is simple: pick and choose a look that fits the right place and the right position. Most importantly, I knew I didn’t want to lock people into a specific uniform. Sofitel is a great French brand that has set out on an adventure and has truly established a legacy. For this project, I didn’t want to create uniforms, I wanted to design a vestiaire. The idea is simple: pick and choose a look that fits the right place and the right position. Most importantly, I knew I didn’t want to lock people into a specific uniform. This collaboration felt very natural because we share the same values: a love of beauty, attention to detail and a deep respect for craftsmanship and comfort.”
Guided by Sofitel’s Committed Luxury philosophy, LeVestiaire is crafted with longevity in mind. Materials were selected for quality, breathability and durability, while repairability is integrated into the design process to extend the life of each garment.

Mar 13, 2026Revive and Relax at Finisterra Spa at Martinhal Sagres Family Beach Resort
Most visitors remember Portugal’s Algarve for its 100-plus miles of golden, sun-drenched beaches. We remember this southern coast of Portugal for the quiet, white-washed villages and dramatic cliffs of its far western corner. And for the superbly serene Finisterra Spa at Martinhal Sagres Family Beach Resort, where we first discovered what a massage and facial could do for aching shoulders and faces parched from days of hiking along the sun-washed clifftops. Neither I nor my husband, Tim, had been fans of spas before that trip, but Finisterra made us believers.
