Small Luxury Hotels of the World is significantly growing its presence across Asia Pacific this year, with 15 new luxury boutique hotels and resorts across six countries recently added to its portfolio.

China witnessed the strongest SLH growth, with five new boutique hotels added to the portfolio in the first six months of 2015: By-Spring Villa in Chongqing, Cours et Pavillons in Beijing, Eden Clubhouse in Wuzhen, Imperial Springs International Summit near Guangzhou and Lijiang’s Patio in Lijiang.

In Sri Lanka, SLH welcomed two new properties in the country’s central highlands: Langdale by Amaya and Signature by Amaya. In Indonesia, the company also added two hotels: The Sanchaya on Bintan Island and Villa Borobudur in Central Java. In Thailand, the Akyra Manor and Sireeampan Boutique Resort in Chiang Mai and the Keemala and Mom Tri’s Villa Royale in Phuket joined the portfolio.

Australia and Japan each welcomed one new property to the collection, including the Dugley Boutique Hotel in the state of Victoria and the Tokyo Station Hotel in Japan.

“The Asia Pacific region is one of SLH’s main areas of focus, making up a quarter of SLH’s exclusive hotel collection,” the company said in a statement. “In the first half of 2015 alone, SLH has welcomed 16 new member hotels in the APAC region.

“From cultural immersions in China, idyllic retreats in Thailand and Sri Lanka, to chic city breaks in Tokyo, this pick of new hotel additions highlights the ever-growing diversity and character of the SLH brand,” SLH added.

SLH properties in the Asia Pacific region contribute to more than a quarter of reservations made by SLH customers, with Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan and China the five most popular destinations.
