Singapore Airlines unveiled its highly anticipated new cabin products, to be fitted to its Airbus A380 fleet starting in December.

The new cabins were in the works for four years, but for passengers, they’re worth the wait. Incorporating the theme “Space made personal, experience the difference,” the new cabin offers more space and privacy in all classes, and bespoke, intimate elements.

The products were displayed for the first time last week in Singapore. They will enter service next month on the first of five A380 aircraft entering the fleet. Retrofit work will also take place on 14 existing aircraft to ensure product consistency across the airline’s A380 fleet.

The upgraded aircraft will be configured with 471 seats in four classes, featuring six Singapore Airlines Suites and 78 business-class seats on the upper deck, as well as 44 premium-economy seats and 343 economy-class seats on the main deck.

The artistically designed suites will boast sliding doors, lavish furnishings, a full-flat bed with adjustable recline and double-bed suites for passengers travelling with a companion.

Each seat is upholstered by world-renowned Poltrona Frau in fine leather, and is fully adjustable using an electronic control side panel, accommodating a variety of sitting and lounging positions. Each suite also has a 42-inch HD monitor that can swivel for different viewing angles; a full-sized personal wardrobe; handbag stowage compartment; an amenity box; and specially designed carpet and a mood-light feature wall.
