Beginning next year, Qatar Airways and China Southern Airlines will work cooperatively in a codeshare agreement.
The agreement allows China Southern Airlines passengers to book travel with Qatar Airways on flights between Guangzhou (CAN) and Doha (DIA), which in turn allows for one-stop connections to more than 80 cities throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
“In December 2018 when we announced our investment in China Southern Airlines, I noted the significant potential for cooperation between our two prestigious airlines. This codeshare agreement is the natural first step in us working together and leveraging our complementary strengths and resources to bring benefits to customers of both our airlines,” said Akbar Al Baker, chief executive, Qatar Airways Group.
Qatar Airways currently operates a fleet of more than 250 aircraft.
