The private island of Koh Yao Noi off Thailand’s western coast is now home to the new Eagle’s Nest beachfront luxury villa. The island itself is located within the Marine National Park of Phang Nga Bay, which provides habitat for indigenous sea gypsies and other wildlife. The park’s magnificent collection of limestone islands provided the setting for the James Bond film The Man with the Golden Gun, starring Roger Moore and Christopher Lee.

The remote island can be reached by helicopter or boat, adding to a sense of exclusivity further enhanced by its position among tropical trees. Comprised of three adjoining pavilions filled with natural light, the villa’s high ceilings, open floor plan and contemporary design elements blur the line between indoor and outdoor.

Hummingbird, Kingfisher, Hornbill and Sea Eagle suites are named for indigenous bird species, while a 49-foot-long infinity pool occupies the entire length of the main building. On-site staff includes a cooking team and chauffeur, while concierge services are provided by a guest relations officer who can organize dining, speedboat connections to Phuket, fishing excursions, kayaking, Thai cooking classes, cycling, snorkeling and private yoga lessons. There’s also rock climbing on limestone karsts in the bay.
