Pan Am recently announced a historic 2025 journey by privately chartered jet that will trace the legendary Southern and Northern trans-Atlantic routes pioneered by Pan American World Airways, an iconic carrier. Pan American World Airways and Pan Am Museum Foundation support the 12-day voyage, which is officially licensed by Pan Am Brands. Open to just 50 guests, the trip takes flight in a Boeing 757 configured with all business-class, lie-flat seating.
Departing New York City on June 27, 2025, the Tracing the Transatlantic Pan Am commemorative journey will fly round-trip to Europe, stopping in Bermuda; Lisbon, Portugal; Marseille, France; London; and Foynes, Ireland.
“Since 1927, Pan Am has left an indelible mark on the world. From humble beginnings as the first commercial carrier for the U.S Air Mail, Pan Am’s founder Juan T. Trippe went on to create a vast aviation empire across the globe, literally bringing the world closer together one flight at a time,” said Craig Carter, CEO, Pan American World Airways, and owner, Pan Am Brands. “This journey, tracing both the original Pan Am Southern Transatlantic Route between New York and Marseilles and the Northern Transatlantic route between London and New York, has been painstakingly designed to honor the unmatched legacy of Pan Am in the most respectful way.” Carter will host the journey.
Bartelings, specialized in touring by private aircraft, operates the journey, which begins and ends with gala evenings at the newly renovated Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. The journey is now open for bookings, with rates starting at $59,950 per person. Learn more.
Linda Freire, chair, Pan Am Museum Foundation, and former Pan Am Flight Attendant, said, “The notion that a commemorative Pan Am flight will celebrate all we stood for is a testament to the strength of the brand and what the airline and its people stood for. Pan Am’s legacy in world history and the airline’s pioneering achievements in aviation live on. I can’t wait to see the aircraft with Pan Am livery taking off from JFK.”

Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa is an award-winning resort on Coconut Road in Bonita Springs, Florida, on the Gulf Coast between Naples and Fort Myers. The property, with 26 acres of tropical landscaping, multiple water slides and numerous dining venues, is a beautiful resort. Last month, I brought my 13-year-old grandson to the property for two days of water-sliding in balmy mid-December weather.
