President Biden signed H.R. 2278, bipartisan legislation to designate a September 11^th National Memorial Trail. The trail route will link the National September 11^th Memorial and Museum in New York; the Pentagon Memorial in Arlington, Virginia; and the Flight 93 National Memorial in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.

The September 11^th National Memorial Trail is a 1,300-mile trail and roadway system symbolizing the resiliency and character that links the three sites, and serving as a tribute to the fallen men and women. The trail will pass through some of the most beautiful and historic parts of the United States. Starting in Arlington, it will extend northwest to the Pennsylvania memorial before heading east to New York City, then south following the East Coast Greenway connecting to the 9/11 Memorial Garden of Reflection before connecting back to the National Mall in Washington, D.C., and ending at the Pentagon.

H.R. 2278 was introduced by Reps Gerald E. Connolly (D-VA), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) and Don Beyer (D-VA) and passed in both the House of Representatives and Senate by unanimous consent.
