Not far from Western Australia’s Swan River, the new QT Perth — the brand’s first property on the country’s western coast — is an 18-story design hotel, with 184 guestrooms that merge urban-industrial elements with swish contemporary comfort. The central downtown Perth address at 133 Murray St. means guests are close to the action, including Murray Street Mall, the Central Business District and plenty of dining and shopping choices.
Designer Shelley Indyk, behind the look of the brand’s guestrooms, created welcoming spaces at the new property that include plenty of special touches. Look for handmade ceramics crafted by local artists including Dale Frances and Patsy Payne, and bold color choices including shades of aubergine. Other features include plush velvets, local jarrah timber, gleaming brass and quirky wallpaper prints of black cockatoos. In bathrooms, guests will find elegant dark stone surfaces, while bedrooms come equipped with signature QT Gel Beds.
Seven conference and meeting rooms are available. On site, the Rooftop at QT provides the city’s highest entertainment and party venue, while Executive Chef Nic Wood’s menu of Italian-inspired fare can be enjoyed at Santini Grill. The restaurant’s bar features local wines and distillery creations, while the lobby-level café will offer coffee and all-day nosh.
