From April 27–29, the second UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organization) World Forum On Food Tourism lands in Lima, drawing attention to Peru as a culinary destination. Learn the mysteries of Peruvian ingredients such as cocona (an acidic fruit), huacatay (an aromatic rainforest herb), pishpirones (giant river snails) and tumbo (banana passionfruit) with a culinary tour through Peru’s gastronomic capital. A sample itinerary can begin with a visit to a local market to chat with vendors and sample local fruits and spices.
