A multimillion-dollar renovation effort for the Oceana Beach Club Hotel  revealed a complete rebranding, scheduled for re-opening May 2019.

The original hotel offered a place for travelers and mainstays to escape from the hubbub of everyday life since it was established in 1996. When the new property debuts, it will change the entire West Coast hotel scene, according to Oceana.

The new hotel seeks to capture what it means to have a private residence in the otherwise overly public atmosphere of Santa Monica. Oceana will feature 70 guest suites, each with an ocean view and high-end furnishings, a private restaurant, an outdoor lounge and swimming pool and a state-of-the-art fitness center.

In catering to those seeking luxury and seclusion, the hotel offers eight room types, ranging from 500-square-foot studio suites to two-bedroom ocean-view suites.

Reservations for the exclusive new hotel are now open for May 1.
