A new luxury hotel brand from Aspen One is officially coming to New York City in 2027. Nell Hotels, rooted in the legacy of Aspen, Colorado’s, The Little Nell, will bring personalized and elevated hospitality to the Big Apple with the debut of The Nell New York.

Set to open in fall 2027, the hotel will not only be the first and only hotel within Rockefeller Center, but will also be the city’s only Relais & Châteaux hotel. The 134-room hotel transforms a former office space into an intimate retreat shaped by intuitive service and thoughtful design. A seventh-floor arrival experience will lift guests above the bustle of the city entirely.

The hotel will feature an all-day dining venue, lobby bar, wine lounge, signature fine-dining restaurant on the 17th floor and more. The entire property is inspired by the Art Deco grandeur and architectural ambition of Rockefeller Center, with every detail intended to feel timeless and intentional.

Art will play a central role throughout the hotel, showcasing both emerging and internationally recognized artists.

While Nell Hotels looks to open a new hotel, the brand’s existing The Little Nell in Aspen will temporarily close in April 2027 to undergo a comprehensive renovation as it enters a new chapter with Nell Hotels. The Little Nell will reopen for the 2027/2028 winter season. The Little Nell’s wedding program will continue operating and hosting events, and its exclusive Residences at The Little Nell will also remain open for bookings.

Get an Insider’s Look at Napa Valley’s Busiest Season

If you haven’t been to wine country during harvest season, have you really been to wine country? Vineyards buzz with workers plucking sun-ripened clusters while the winery hums with sorting tables and presses gently extracting precious juice and tannins. In the cellar, the air is perfumed with an intoxicating cuvée of baking bread and grapes as vats alive with bubbling juice are tended to by the winemaker’s watchful eyes. For wine lovers, the experience is nothing short of magical. It also offers a newfound appreciation to the hard work behind every bottle in a way that simply bellying up to a tasting bar never could. Napa Valley has perfected the art of the harvest celebration with festivals, dinners, tastings, hands-on experiences and, of course, the opportunity to literally feel grapes between your toes.
