Casa Velas, the adults-only boutique hotel on Marina Vallarta golf course in Puerto Vallarta, recently debuted a new vow renewal experience inviting couples to rediscover their commitment through a multiday journey and with a maximum eight guests.

Here’s a closer look at what the experience entails:

Couples begin with The Intention Session of either a private yoga class at sunrise or a guided meditation by the sea followed by an Ancestral Copal Cleansing, a pre-Hispanic purification ritual in which copal smoke is used to clear the way energetically before the renewal of vows. That evening, in the hotel’s botanical garden, couples enjoy a private tasting of reserve wines or artisanal tequilas, followed by an intimate candlelit dinner in which each course on the menu represents a chapter of their shared story, known as The Memory Lane dinner.

The next day, the couple awakens to gourmet breakfast on their private suite terrace followed by a deeply restorative Couple’s Zen Ritual. The ceremony later in the day is accompanied by live string music and the option of one of two symbolic rituals: a Sand Blending Ritual, in which sand from Puerto Vallarta is combined to represent the inseparability of two lives; or El Lazo, one of the most iconic traditions in a Mexican wedding when a large rosary, floral garland or silk cord is draped around the couple’s shoulders in a figure-eight shape to symbolize their eternal bond. Cocktail hour starts as the sun descends over the Pacific, before the evening unfolds into The Legacy Long Table four-course private dinner served family-style, with each dish narrating a moment from their marriage. The couple finds the Romantic Path turndown service upon return to their room: a trail of flower petals, softly glowing scented candles and a curated selection of late-night bites awaiting them.
