Spanning 35 acres along Portugal’s stunning coastline, Atlantic Club Comporta prepares for its summer debut. Blurring the line between real estate design and hotel with swish amenities, services and experiences, this private luxury residential club is about an hour from Lisbon on the western coast.

Sustainability and community are high priorities, with features that include a number of bespoke services such as housekeeping, garden maintenance, private chefs and concierge support. Shared spaces include a clubhouse, on-site marketplace and an area of curated wellness experiences.

Villas range from four to eight bedrooms with private pools, terraces, saunas and indoor-outdoor living spaces. Designer and architect Jacques Grange created the interiors, with landscaping by renowned garden designer Madison Cox.

“There’s great beauty in simplicity,” said Cox. “I want to capture that spirit Jacques is imagining and create a palette of plants, and there is a multitude of resources in southern Portugal: the pomegranate and fig trees, the lavender and grasses that flourish here. I start with observing the winds, the plants, the soil.”
